SeaForge Wood Flour - Structural Wood Filler
Wood Flour
Natural Wood Epoxy Filler for Structural Bonding and Fillets
SeaForge Wood Flour is a finely processed natural wood filler used to thicken epoxy for structural bonding, fillets, gap filling, and laminating. It mixes easily with epoxy to create a smooth, non-sagging compound with a natural wood tone, making it especially well suited for stitch-and-glue construction and other wooden boatbuilding applications.
Primary Applications
Structural Bonding | Fillets | Gap Filling | Laminating | Stitch-and-Glue Construction
Why Builders Choose Wood Flour
- Excellent Structural Fillets: Produces strong, smooth fillets for joining plywood panels, bulkheads, frames, and other structural components.
- Good Gap Filling: Adds body to epoxy, allowing it to bridge gaps and irregular joints while remaining in place.
- Non-Sagging: Can be mixed to a thick consistency for fillets and other applications where the epoxy needs to hold its shape.
- Economical Thickener: Adds substantial volume and body to mixed epoxy, making it an economical choice for larger fillets and bonding applications.
- Natural Wood Color: Creates a warm, wood-toned epoxy mixture that blends well with many wooden boatbuilding projects.

How to Use
- Mix the Epoxy First: Thoroughly mix SeaForge Epoxy Resin (Part A) and Hardener (Part B) at the specified ratio before adding Wood Flour.
- Add Filler Gradually: Stir Wood Flour into the mixed epoxy until you reach the consistency needed for the application.
- For Fillets: Add Wood Flour until the epoxy reaches a smooth, non-sag, peanut-butter-like consistency. Apply and shape with a rounded filleting tool.
- For Gap Filling: Use a thicker mixture that will bridge the gap and remain in place without sagging.
- For Bonding & Laminating: Add enough Wood Flour to create a smooth, thickened mixture that spreads easily. Apply to the mating surfaces and assemble the parts.
Pro Tip: When fiberglass reinforcement is required over a structural fillet, fiberglass tape or cloth can often be applied while the fillet is still uncured. This reduces sanding and additional surface preparation. Shape the fillet and clean up excess material before cure for an easier, cleaner finish.
